Hi All,
Getting my pair of peppermints this week and wondering if anyone has any tips for breeding, My PH is 7 neutral, Caves are in ready to go, Just was not sure if driftwood drops the PH level or not?

I know these pepps have bred before with there previous owner so im hoping they will do the same for me but i want to make sure everything is perfect for them!

Any tips would be fantastic!

Drift wood will drop your PH slightly but thats what you want, my pair have bred for the first two times recently. I found that they didnt care about tank temp, I had mine at 29'C trying a wet season dry season and before I got to the wet season stage they bred for me, I used white paper and covered the entire tank and didnt turn the light on for a week. Hope you have some success.

Yeh same no lights cover the front of the tank and leave them alone. i dont do any water changes until i want them to spawn.I dont do the dry season just the wet . But just dont disturb them and it will pay off
