PH Help

Hi

I have been measuring my water parameters and thay all seem fine except the PH :dontknow: Now i have been keeping african cichlids for ages and the ph has been perfect for them. But now i need to get it down from 8 to 7 or lower for some of my pleco's .

I know i can get RO water but what else could i do and I was wondering what everyone else does about this?

Peat is one option but the best way imo is to have a container or water butt full of water and add the peat to that for a few days before adding to tank

dead (clean dry and microwave to kill any bugs) oak leaves are good and many fish like some leaf litter.
