Planted Tanks

I don't know if this is "off the wall"...has anyone ever planted the tank with the purpose of feeding the pleco? My Harvey has been pretty hard on the plants, even tho I feed him algae tabs and fresh vegetables. I'm wondering if there are any plants that would add to his diet, with the intention of replacing as needed. :dk:

Hi all,
Amazon Swords seem popular with a lot of plecs. to graze on. I'm not sure how you would feed them, possibly by having potted plants and swapping them in and out of the aquarium.

Feeding a green vegetable like Cabbage would be an easier option.
