Pls help me Sexing My L14

hey guys... welcome to my first thread

btw, i have 3 L14 7-8" can u help me sexing them?

this 2 i think they are female..

this when they both still 6"

and this 1 it looks like male...

am i right?

btw what size L14 can be breed??

Yup I agree, looks like 2 girls and a boy. They look like they should be big enough to breed by now too. Not based on experience though, just guessing.

im sure they still have to grow until minimum 10" to breed.. but who knows? *fingers cross*

they can breed from about 8" however they're very very fussy/difficult and territorial when breeding times happen. Any other plecs around can disturb the male and he'll kick (or more likely eat) the eggs. Mine don't seem to like man made caves but I made some "natural" caves by stacking rocks together and they seem to like those.

have u ever succeed with ur L14?
yep mine dont like man made cave either..they prefer hide in a bogwood

had a couple of drops but never any fry eggs have always been eaten but they're in my display tank so always getting disturbed don't really have them for breeding its only luck i got males and females wasn't what I was going for when I ordered them
