I have to share with you my good fortune. I am always looking for some nice redmoor, but up to now have been a bit picky because after all it's not very cheap. Also you can never really tell from photographs as to what it's going to look like. Anyway, the other day I took a chance as someone was advertising 4 large peieces (unused and no longer needed) for a grand total of £20. For that price I thought it was worth a punt. They arrived today and I can honestly say they are the most beautiful pieces of redmoor I have ever seen! I am sure if I had picked them out myself I couldn't have done better, and all for £20. I am dead chuffed!!

excellent, i love redmoor wood, it can really finish a tank off beautifully.
you'll have to post some pics of your tanks when they are in

How long does it take for this stuff to sink? It's been soaking now for 2 weeks and it still floats. I even have it weighted down and that hasn't made a scrap of difference!!

What substrate are you using?
I buried 'bottom' bits in gravel with strategically placed stones to help.

The only problem I have found is my Royal loves it and has put some great track marks in it.

The biggest piece will need a big rock......at the moment it is weighed down by 2 x 2l water bottles - 1 wouldn't keep it down!
