Results - Water Testing 3 sources

Hello All,

I have finally decided to test my Aquarium tank water, rain water and tap water and have some results.

Aquarium tank water- PH 5.5 , KH 3 , GH 4
Rain tank water - PH 4.5 , KH 4, GH 3.5
Tap Water - PH 6.5 , KH 3, GH 4.5

Would you think I need some adjusting in the Aquarium tank water or are these ok for my Ls ?

Any thoughts

Tank water ph is getting into the range where denitrifying bacteria no longer are active. You might want to bump it up a bit.

would PH 6.5 be fine ? I would then use plain tap water. cheers jk :thumbup:

ok thanks for that, so will give that a try.
I was amazed how low the PH was for the rain water, talking about acidic...wow.
