sand as substrate

hey guys,
is sand a suitable substrate for bristlenoses? its really fine stuff so i dont think they could suck off it.

Sand is used by a lot of people for substrate. Just don't put too much in. Anything over about 1/2" or so & you risk the substrate going toxic if not kept well clean & stirred.

Hi Mate,

I have use washed sand in the past and its all fine but mine sand was only about 2mm thick

Was really nice when they swim look like they swim fast and leave the dust sand behind:lol:
