Sexing a juvie L397 (if possible

Well I was doing a major rearrange of tanks the other day, so i had to pull out my L397 colony. So I thought it might be a good time to take pics.

I was a bit unsure with these two, I'm fairly confident what the larger one is, (body shape and temperament. But it lacks the hair seen on most males). It is now in another tank to see if more hair develops.

The smaller one (i hope it's not too small to check) i was also stumped on, I vented both (from prior knowledge and experience, they looked difference) the larger plec had more of a V shape, whilst the juvie was more rounded. However did not appear to have any yellow spots. (Perhaps that is only a mature female trait?) I'm also not sure if the difference between the two is down to age?

Much appreciated if anyone could chime in with their thoughts.

bigger one def looks like a boy.... not sure on other one though....

I am guessing male on the big one but possible female on the little one. She looks more rounder in the fins but needs to develop the wider pelvis yet. Those last couple of cms for a lady is a massive body change.

Thanks all, I guess it's still a waiting game. I'll just have to wait a bit longer. (Really hope its female)
