Hi all, moved my L168 out from quarantine so thought I would get some photos and opinions on what sex they are :hi:

I'm thinking hairy enough to be male?

sorry to say this 4 males.... :cry: very obvious to me... especially in perth knowing that whats imported are all males.... not by choice from the local fishops but the senders send all males to one place and all females to other side of the country if not a different country :whistle:

Thanks Johnno, I kinda feared that. Head shape all looked pretty similar.

Guess I'll have to join the list of people looking for females, or try to buy a big pile of juvies and grow em out

i was lucky enough to obtain 5-6 fry a guy had bred years ago... and i got 3m2f and i grew them to a sub adult size but for some reason i sold them... (cant remember why)... but knowing that 168 females are like gold i should of kept them and bred them

but they arent a pretty pleco in comparrison to other stuff thats available so most people give them the flick....
