Hi all, am trying to sex some peppermint bristlenose. I know there is at least 1 female among them as they have bred in community tank. They were all sold to me as female quite some time ago, but am not 100% certain. I know females sometimes do get bristles around the lip, but not up the nose. I do, however, also have a 12.5cm guaranteed male who has little or no bristles up his nose. As I am looking at selling these (paired with excess males I have) I do need to be certain they are female before I pair them up for sale. All fish are over 10cm from head to tip of tail (despite the fact that angle of pics sometimes questions this) as measured all fish before taking pics

Thanks in advance

Sean

Fish 1 approx 10cm

Fish 2 approx 12cm

Fish 3 approx 10.5cm

Fish 4 approx 11cm

Thanks for eplies everyone. Sadly have put fish back in tanks and are in caves now and can't get them out, so no more pics available, but u have confirmed what I have been thinking, suspect they are mostly males, so rather than pairing them up, will just sell them as males.

thanks

Sean
