try adding a little bit of salt, i had this problem when i used to breed betta's.

or if you have salt intolerant tank mates, interpet do a good anti fungus treatment.

no, not table salt as that is harmful (can't remember why). but your average cooking salt is suitable.

i'm unsure about the galaxy rasbora's and the snail. i've also bred the galaxy rasboras in the past with 1 teaspoon of cooking salt per gallon and they have been fine.

You need to also look into why the betta has gotten the fin rot or fungus. Have you checked the water parameters?

I would say do a water change before adding any meds and if you are uncomfortable using salt then primafix might help. I think there are meds specially for bettas too.

lost him today.checked the tank just after lights on and he was behind some bogwood.he looked white and the fungus was all over his head.
my boy will be gutted.

did a 50% water change and a big tank clean, checked out the rasboras and otto, all seam ok.
will leave the tank for an hour and then do a water test.
