My 20gallon tank is going down hill fast. I have Ick and possibly Fungle infections. Which types of meds do I use? I got Jungle All in One Treatment then I read the fine print. Which says "not suitalble for Scaless Fish (I have three scaless fish my (Syd. Featherfin, Four Line Pictus, and my L-023)I've already had two fish die. I'm gonna try to get to the Petstore for more meds. The only med I'm using right now is Quick Cure Ick Meds... This isn't helping much at all.

Sorry im not much use on american med's, I use WS3 King british for ich. Best this you can do is add tons of air! The ich attacks/gathers around the gills so impares breathing. If you have no air pump lower you water a tad and let the filter return splash in.

Scaleless fish can normaly take a half dose of a normal med.

What about rid ich+, can you get that?
Are you def sure its ich?
Whats changed in the tank in the last two months?
What temp is the tank?

Most ich meds don't seem to be working for a few days as there is ich on the fish that isnt visible, these then show on the fish which make you think it isn't working. When the ich leaves the fish(normally to reproduce) the med can then kill it.

I went to the Store today looking for Rid Ick+ they didn't have it.
I'm pretty sure this is Ich

In the last two months. Last month I added another type of Pictus catfish which isn't doing good. Last week I moved around some of the things in the tank. But my new Rubberlip came down with ich the day after he was put in the tank. But he died a few hours ago

And the tanks temp is 75°F or 23.89°C

I just looked at my Featherfin he has this furry stuff on his eye. What can I do to get rid of this on his eye? And for the last 5 days the Featherfin hasn't been eating.. Is there a type of food I can try to see if he will eat?

Hi,
if you can find a product by Aquasonic called Ichonex that is fine to use with scaleless fish.

The cloudy eye could be a secondary infection, but you need to treat the whitespot first then clean water should clear up the eye. Also have good aeration as whitespot covers the gills and it helps to have more air in high temps.

And you could try adding salt or giving salt baths 1-2g/L

Cheers

hey, catfishman, sorry to hear of your loss, bummer, big time. Are you still looking for meds, if so ,pm me , let me know what you need and I can check my stores, see if i can get for you. I live in CT.
You just gotta be SURE the med is safe for plecs and won't kill your bio-media and have filter crash. Look into what you need ,pm me, if you still need anything. Georgie
