Spinach Leaves

I know a lot of people use frozen spinach but I tend to use fresh spinach leaves, my plecs love them, only problem is keeping them weighed down:wb:

I have an elastic band knotted to a ceramic weight that came off a old air curtain, this is also tied to some fishing line for easy removal.


spinach i just wrap 3-4 leaves and hold down with the elastic band.

It's a battle between my uaru and my chocolate plec to see who gets the spinach. I use one of those clothes pins with a suction cup on one side and fix it to the side of the tank.

not tried spinach for ages, prob cos not got any in the garden at the moment.
must look out for some.
I use a stainless steel clothes peg to grip and weigh down food.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, ill try them out. My L144 fry are quite happy with a floating leaf though, there were about six tiny ones on one of the leaves that was floating round the tank this am

I use the plant leads you get and push them through the leaf
