hello ther .im thinkin about buy plecs!i know ther ar many kinds of them,im just wantin to no more about them and that can different kinds of plecs live tgether?any information would be great,i find the these fish gorgous,x,x,x

Hi there Spoilt1 welcome, What size tank (s) are you thinking of having plecos in and there filteration? Theres a huge veriaty of plecos to look at you see. Where in the Uk are you, might be able to point you in the direction of a few good lfs that stock plecos

hi all im from the north east of england and im new to this fish buyin keepin hobby,iv seen the fish id like to keep,and only like these fish was wonderin if u could give me a load of starter information,with out havin to search the whole of the internet,these are plecs and i know ther is many kinds,and was wonderin can u mix different kinds together to live with each other,any information will be greatly appreciated,x,ty

many plecs can be kept together, there are some that dont mix well, it all depends on the certain species.
what have you seen that you like?

if totally new to plecs you might like to start with something easy, relatively inexpensive, and hardy such as a common bristle nose.

Just bristlenose or ancistrus seem to be where most of us started out.
I found the L002 tiger pleco and L397 to like similar water to the bristlenoses although just a tad warmer in temps.
Gotta luv the wood eaters, you can have a short holiday and they don't starve, they just eat the wood. :D
