Hi

I am setting up a small breeding setup, 1 6footer which is divided in 6 sections, purpose to hold parents and 2 x 3foot with intention to use as grow outs.

Just trying to get some advice on which setup i should take? Sponge filters are alot easier and quicker but if you guys see its worth to do a sump then ill go thzt way.

Thanks for your advice

I would do a sponge every foot of tank and have either a sump or canisters so you can easily add in such things as water purifiers like purigen or macropore. Also a low watt internal filter like an eheim pickup is very handy for that weekly pickup of crud and easily rinsed during water changes. Takes a bit of the load off the canister or sump. Its not a powerful current but usually adequate.

I was thinking instead of using the sump pump. I was gonna use a stronger air pump to run the s
onge filters so each tanks are on their own
