That is a tiny Carnivorous plant, I cannot remember the name of it, but some quick research would help. I know it's a neat little thing and shouldn't be harmful to any of your plants.

BTW are you sure that's flame moss and not string moss?

i,m sure its flame moss...well it was sold as flame moss.
ill leave the strange looking plant in there and shall see what it turns into.

just done a search on google for carnivorous plants in the fish tank and bladderwort popped up.
the pics look the same.
should i remove it or leave it?

Cool plant But
It will consume the tiniest of fry. Aswell as micro bugs and inverts.
I would suggest getting it out as it will wind its way around your moss and be very hard to remove if you choose later.

Hi all,
It is definitely difficult to get rid off once you've got it, but I would think it is pretty fry safe.

I haven't got any fish with really tiny fry, but I would think even fry from fish like Thread-fin Rainbows and Dwarf Gourami are too big and active to be caught.
