sump overflow project-sealant

hi everyone

I am starting an overflow project for a sump, made of of pvc tubing.

My question is will aquarium sealant hold the pipe together well enough and if not is PVCu Solvent Cement safe for aquarium use?

Silicon should hold if its just a siphon. Critical connections you might want to use pvc cement for. Pvc (white) is designed for drinking water so cured cement should be safe. I've used it.
