gday peoples, I have some pepps and i have always fed them wafers, cucumbers and zuc's but i have just bought some sweet potato and i wanted to give them to my pepps.
How do you feed them to plecs? do i boil them? or can i just put them into the tank like i do with cucumbers n zuc's?
Also does sweet potato have any nutritional value to them?
I also have some bloodworms for them also hoping they may breed for me:drool::drool:
Thanks in advance
Mick

Hi Mick
I just cut a slice of about 5mm for them and feed it raw but I find that bn's struggle with it a bit so you could try giving it a bit of a soften in boiling water first...It has much more nutritional value than cucumber which has next to none...I would not feed them to much bloodworm, a treat now and again is fine tho.

Thanks for the quick reply!! I'll give raw a go first then maybe try to soften it with boiling it. I was told a bloodworm treat once a week will help condition the girls for breeding? Am I wrong? Thanks again

 2nd that, sweet potato also has the advantage that it does not break down as quickly as cucumbers and zuc's, useful if your as forgetful as me .

peas with skin removed are good, they love them
I feed sweet potato raw but leave in tank for a couple of days - they often eat it on the second day.
