Hi,

It is not a silly question. It does however depend on a few things

1. Tank size
2. Ls you keep and numbers
3. I add 3-4 types of caves from bamboo, slate, clay and wood for a choice to the Ls.
4. I usually have 2 caves per Ls in the tank.
cheers jk

PS what tank and what Ls do you have ?

with 6 L333, I would use sandy silica bottom, have approx 8-10 caves, slate pieces or rocks for the female , driftwood and as stated various types of caves. cheers jk

Have since moved them into the 4footer with sandy pebbly gravel and there so much more active during day, coming out of logs and hidy holes etc

looks good. only suggestion would be to get the back and sides covered. They will otherwise get spooked. Also maybe a heater guard. well done cheers jk
