hi all,ive just planted some new plants in my edge witch has 7 small rasboras in and 1 apple snail, and ive noticed that there is lots off algae on the back wall, heater and filter pipe,
can any one think off a fish i can add to sort this that won,t stress out the filter and the rasboras?

I wouldnt recommend any fish, i would however say keep your eye out for some Nerite snails, they are great little algae eaters.

Zebra snails also eat algae, but be careful adding anything because when the algae has gone snails will need feeding thus adding to your bioload......23litres is such a small amount to manage water quality

There is an article in pfk this month about otos and nanos. Not sure if 23 litres is quite large enough though and you need to pick them carefully as so many are ill by the time they get to lfs etc, plus you need to keep the water in good shape for them.

The plan is to get just 1 nerite snail
And use him as a house cleaner for both tanks. There's a load of algae forming on
The back wall off the big tank too, this is harder to clean cos off the plants and the wood.

Had a thought earlier( it happens occasionally), they also had assassin snails and i think it was them that was £3 each, maybe the others were a little cheaper.
