Hi all,
Very nice tank, I've tried a few of these Eriocaulon, Tonina and Syngonanthus species and I couldn't get that effect low tech., in fact I really struggled to just keep them alive. Syngonanthus (Tonina "Belem"), is now in with terrestrial insectivorous plants, and it is doing a lot better.

I think to grow them successfully you need very soft, good quality water, good light and CO2, they are naturally slow growing so you can have a low nutrient regime, (although an acidic bottom substrate with some CEC is meant to help). I'd only try them if you have all of this, and probably some experience with easier planted tank species as well.

They may be difficult to find, but you can buy them from here in the UK <http://www.plantedtanks.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=43_45_48&product_id=216> but I don't know anything about this company.

cheers Darrel
