hey everyone :) ive picked up an oak block from my local saw mill. It looks kinda dirty. How can i make it safe for my L134s? cheers :D
btw ive found some L134s now, not got them yet but they are mine :woohoo:

heres my view but I am not a wood expert...assuming it is raw wood and not been treated with cuprinol or any insecticides etc (very important), then it depends on if the wood is green or not. ie if the sap has dried and wood matured etc. (green means recently cut tree, not the colour of the wood)
if green you may need to leave it outdoors for a few weeks to weather, not sure.
i would then soak in in salt water for a number of days and change water if gets very brown. once the water does not get very brown, and it sinks, it should be ok to use.
if you plan to drill holes in it for fish to cave in, do it while wood still dry as might be easier- then soak the wood,
