Hi Guys,

I am in the middle of changing things around atm, hopefully to give me more tank space. I am looking to upgrade a few fry tanks and add an Ultraviolet Steriliser.
Problem is, there are sooo many !

Anyone recommend a unit that fits easily under a 30 gal tank ?
I do like the look of the Vecton series, but they seem very bulky and are quite expensive.

Any advice is always appreciated.

Thanks Irene, I'll look at them.

Anyone use the external filter/uv combi ? Reads well and would save a lot of hassle LOL !

I did have an aquael external filter with uv lamp in it but got a lot of trouble when needed to change the bulb, despite buying 2 new bulbs I could never get it to work again, so ended up scarpping it. so now I prefer the small internal ones where they are led bulbs so dont have to change them, just buy a new filter in a couple of years -that way the bulb is renewed and so is the punp and impellor and everything else that wears out!- they are not as expensive as buying bulbs on the external ones!
I also have other filters in or outside that tanks.

Thanks Andrew, I will certainly look into it. Just a bit cramped for space under this particular tank, so need something compact.

I've used the Vectrons for a few years... they are bulky but work well.
Tried the internal ones but it wasnt a lot of cop and the bulb didnt last long... :(

I've got a 9 watt Fish R Fun internal uv on my zebra tank and had no problems with it. There is a little light on it to let you know the bulb is still working
