Heya

Brought today 3 plecos, not sure what they are lol there was even some confusion... So what number are they. A few numbers were mentioned and now im confuzzled.

Pictures are below, i believe there is 1 male & 2 females.

Some bloke in the shop I was at today bought 3 exactly the same as those:lol:.

At least you have 3 the same mate so it doesnt matter what they turn out to be. I still dont think they are L15 though.

hmmmmmmm I am not gonna rule out L15 now but its the real deep orange that makes me think they are slightly different

anyway i am talking crap now

Yes i agree with them, first 2 look like L140 but the 3rd is definitely a different fish due to the pattern. If you compare them, the 3rd has straight stripes along the body whereas the first 2 don't. To me the 3rd is a L015, definitely looks like mine.

24 hrs later...

The plecos are settling in, although not eaten yet... already their colours are changing brighter yellow, and distinctive lines between the black and yellow. But it is highlighting i deffiently have two types. :(

Will try to get some HQ in focus :lol: photos and upload them shortly.

One saw me come with the camera and swam off like a rocket lol!

But neither the less her/his mate was happy to be photographed so here they are.

there is so many looking similar, question is, is it possible the odd one could be the same just somehow got different markings or is he/her totally different fish altogether.

then again looking at them side by side, one is definitive stripes the other is more like a tiger pattern blending and mixing lol so confused

all i want to know is do i have chance of a breeding pair, thats what all this is about lol! i want something more interesting than BN.

I will get photos of their bodies once there eating properly, at the moment their not entirely hungry.

cant stop taking photos now, the one who likes to be photographed just laid at the side of the tank looking and winking at me as we ran a photoshoot lol, heres one of him close up ish... i think he's a little boy, by looking at his cheeks all bristly. or do girls get this too...

any ideas now on sexes, i want to put them in my main tank now with the other guy (male) shown in a previous post on this thread.

:) dont want them fighting...
