I am inclined to agree with Mike...My philosophy has always been "keep it simple" :thumbup:

the more i looked into it the more i realised it was only about water movement and keeping the poo of the ground which you can achieve in like you say much more simple ways.

agree, I also do not like the UGF, also in the tank they used metal trays with the slate on it. They do not look like stainless, so eventually these will also rust. Not good. Get 2 externals and one powerhead for movement and some sand as substrate. cheers jk :thumbup:
