I'm just a beginner when it comes to plecos. My question is what L number are the BN plecos? I have chocolates, albinos, super reds, calicos. And all of them in short fin and long fin. Are these color morphs of the same L number, or do they have different L numbers? And what is the number? I know this is a dumb question to a lot of you, but I need your help! Thanks, Harry

The Common BN doesn't have an L number as such. Long-fin, super-red and calico etc are all just forms of the common Bristle-nose.

Have a look at the profile page.

The L numbers were given to photos of new imported plecs by DATZ magazine. Some fish from the genus Ancistrus will have L numbers, for example L034 is Ancistrus ranunculus.
