Hi folks

I was wondering how long you need to wait for the silicone to be safe when making caves? Also does anyone do anythng special to them before putting them in the tank to use?

24-48 hours for it to cure.

I clean the slat with a steel brush and rinse it before I make anything from it. It has to be dry before you silicone it together.

To speed up the drying time (not curing) I use a hot air gun. I wait three days and give the caves a rinse before use.

I always leave mine for a minimum of 48 hours, then rinse them under the tap.
