4 Months ago, i had a married couple common bristlenoses. But my apple snails killed female ancistrus - blocked cave entry.

So i have tried to pair male ancistrus about 5-6 different female species. Most of females dancing around the male but male is not interested.

Do he need more time? Waiting for dream wife again, boring females? Any suggestions.

i doubt snails killed your female... i would think they were trying to eat her dead body and were trying to get in the cave to do so....

bristlenose can smack snails out the way with ease....

as for pairing up a new girl.. keep trying - or move him on and get another male

how long are you giving him with each new female? he may want a few months rest if he has bred several broods in a row.
