Wild or bred? crossbred? does it mean anything?

Can any characteristic tell us it's wild or bred ? ... like the body shape, pattern of the stripe or ....????

Hi,

Normally are not distinguishable.

But there are forms that are obviously caused over time by selection. For example Longfins.

On large catfish (which are kept in too small tank) is often the top of the head flattened.

Many aquarium catfish are also significantly thicker than in nature.
(too much food and too little exercise)

ppl said that it's possible for Hypancistrus sp. to crossbreed in nature. If so, what's the meaning of " pure" for Hypancistrus sp. and does "pure" exist among Hypancistrus sp? 

just cos we all love pure things :wb:
