worried about rapid rise in temperature

I am getting worried because I left the cheap glass heater on too long in one tank with my goldie L014 pleco. The tank temperature has risen about 8 degrees in 12 hours.hmy: I am noticing some rapid breathing as well. Has anyone lost fish due to a rapid rise like that? I know their ideal tempertaure is said to be around 29 degrees c 84 f. but the tank rose from 23-29 in 12 hours.

get an air stone and water movement going. check the heater also to make sure it is not broken. cheers jk :thumbup:

Thanks Bigbird, I have a internal filter with power head in there and a bubble wall but I'll throw in an extra one to be safe, big thanks!

Sounds normal to me. In summer my tanks would go from 23 - 29 on hot days. Up the oxygen and do a cool water change or throw some frozen bottles of water to cool it down a bit.
