may also suggest to you to maybe only get males. Once you get males and females especially in the aluncarra group the territorial battles are huge. I am speaking from experience, but maybe others can also comment. You are also mixing americans with African, but I am sure you are aware of that. good luck, nice choice. But I would stick to the rift lakes and leave the americans out. just my honest opinion. cheers jk :thumbup: ps hope yr not offended etc

cool thanks peoples. i laready have a mix of africans and americans in there. the ph is about 7.6, they're just there to look pretty. i wasn't too concerned about the infighting, there's two breeding pairs of convicts in there that attack and chase other fish around all the time and a small oscar too. it just makes it interesting to watch, nobody is getting hurt. i am a beginner though and thanks for the input. i just want a unch of real pretty fish, some more bright reds and bright blues at least
