Just to add the breeding tank is 60x30x36 which will be species specific. I have the option for grow out tanks as well if required.

Dear Alex,
the cost of fish is up to the seller and buyer, so supply and demand. You will see that prices vary and that it is up to the individual if they wish to pay that price or negotiate with the seller. That is why I hate to give a figure of costs, because it is what the seller stipulates. Most of those fish you are after are available in Melbourne. cheers jk

My opinions :)
Peppermints - Nice fish, easy to breed but messy & males can be aggressive and spend more time fighting than breeding so don't get sucked into buying a reverse trio
L066 - Nice fish, easy to breed
L333 - Don't like them, over-priced and too common
L134 - Up there with the nicest looking plecos, harder to breed but worth it

If you don't want to grow fry up and pick your breeders (I believe that's the best way) buy proven breeders or sub-adults and not someone elses problems
If you're open to shipping you'll have a lot more to choose from too
Look around at recent prices for similar sized fish.
It's best to pay a little more for quality, well fed & carefully selected bloodlines.
You can buy an ALDI brand TV but it will never be a sony or samsung quality :)

Hope that helps a little
Nat :)

Thanks Nat,

Sorry im straying from my original request however, Any idea on average how long from Juvi it would take for the different breeds to mature to the point of breeding.

They can all breed before they are 2 years of age but my best breeders have always been at least 4-5 years old
