well 255 was my first thought, the head shape, the row of bristles and the body width all made me think so, but they just aren't quite wide enough to make me 100% sure

As you know my first reaction was L255........Looking in the aqualog book and on PC i now think they are what they were being sold as L213. I dont think the head is wide enough and the spots are too many, too small. sorry.

they could well be 213, but i'm still leant towards 255 at the mo, it could of course be the photos are slighlty distorted, but the head seems the wrong shape for almost all other bn's.
will get some more pics over the next few days.
i'd still be happy with 213's, would just be over the moon if they end up being 255's

I'm thinking L213's bud! See how the spots are blue in color.....the L213's I've seen have blue spot when you shine a light on them. I have 4 of them and they look just like the ones in your pics! Nice looking plec, hope you can get a pair out of them.....

wonderul Jo. do you have a colony or a pair/trio? just wondered if the males fight?

brain, still not sure what yours are until see from other angles cos hard to tell if they are 'flat' from overhead shot.
either way 213 are super fish too and probably less shy.

I have 4 in the group in a L120 tank basic setup that I moved them too last month, there appears to be 1 massive male no scrapping they are not the most active of fish the male just sits in his prime spot in the inlet flow the rest sit under the bogwood, I love them because they are unusual looking ugly and striking at the same time, either way Brian you have got a good sized group of nice large fish whatever they turn out too be so alls good :)
