ok guys above is the url for the 410 ltr tank i am looking to buy. I love all the features including overhead filtration. I will also have an external allpondsolution filter if needed.

I have a couple of questions;

does anyone have this aquarium?
does anyone see any problems ?
would the layout be suitable for a common pleco?
could i have an oscar in there?

does anyone know newhere else i could get a desent tank? (i know thats an open question!!!):dk:

Can't comment on price, other options etc as I am not in the UK but I would definitely budget for at least one external filter, my last 2 tanks have had the overhead filtration and I have never used it.

Plecos and Oscars (i think) are messy.

Just be very carefull with setting up...These tanks with rounded corners can split if not placed on totally level surface...My other concern is continuity of spares if anything was to go wrong

What's your budget? I would play safe and get a rio 400 from juwel or buy a bare bones tank and cabinet then add quality hardware.

have missed you guys!

spares - totally good point, thinking about it had the same issue with there external pumps.
regarding flat surface...so glad you brought that up as although my floors are concrete and flat they do have a slight downward angle to them!

I have a rio 180 at the moment and have never had problems and would love to sstick to juwels....my budget is not set at moment as the wife is in charge. Bascially the cheaper the sooner i get it but i will in no way get cheap crap. its not worth it for the fish's sake!!!

thanks and respect

Why not get a quote from Helen at http://www.dcaquariums.co.uk
And get a purpose built one to your spec', very helpful persons and reasonably priced, and they deliver.
Highly recomended.

Would love to help but I am a bit far away...My wholesalers do a bare bones system "Betta lifespace" which is basically a 5x2x2 tank cabinet and hood which is made for them by Clearseal UK... I rrp this at £599...It needs all the other bits and pieces, but at least you can choose what to use...They may deliver to your area.

I am currently awaiting an order of a couple of pupose built tank lids from Helen, at a very good price. When I get them I shall take some pics and may, with permision:whistle:, put them on a thread on this forum.

I have a rio 300 and yes it has a huge internal which can be removed if need be but they are good filters if a little intrusive. I have two externals and the internal.

I did however remove the internal from my rio180 purely because the power head failed and I wasn't going to replace it as they are expensive.

I have spoken to my suppliers this morning and the stock line tank is 60x26x18" not the 5x2x2 as I earlier thought... They did give me a price for a 60x26x24 and this can be made with a blue...black or clear backing and a veriety of colours for the cabinet...I would be selling this item for £635 so its not a lot more...Because it has to be made to order there would be a 3 week turn around.

derek derek derek thank you so much for looking into it....i've been surching around and around for clearseal aquariums bigger than my thumb.

The price sounds great but i am in a double binde.... i've been reading up on the allpond solutions and you can get all the spares and i havent read a negitive comment about the tank BUT on the other hand the tank you have is perfect for pleco's!!!

I JUST LOOKED AT YOU WEBSITE at the 24" betta lifespace marine and i love the style. Does it have light fittings?

Ok derek...... my mind is set on the tank you are offering but could you help me out with the things i would need to make it a complete set up.

I was going to use LED strip lighting blue and white seperate plugs/ connections,,,, good idea or do you have any suggestions? could you supply this or do you have any where to recomend?

In terms of filter....... MMMMMM
I havent completly decided on the pleco's i was having but i will be transferrring 5 zebra loach, 2 weather loach, 1 rusty plec and one worm line plec with probally an albino salifin. what would you use?

cheers again...the tank and price sounds perfect..

would that include delivery?

respect
claire
