I was thinking the same thing!
Me too! But when looking at the older pic it looks like an L200, Which in me sparks the old debate whether these are the same species just varients?
Regardless they are good pics, thanks for sharing.:thumbup:

Looks like a blue phantom but I love both. I want to have a go at breeding these one day, but 10cm isn't big enough for the dish to be mature I don't think

hey mongy, not sure what you mean ''how close are the two''
I got them less than a year apart, the larger one is about 5'', but they are most definitely blue in real life...just that for some odd reason with blue phantoms, pictures rarely get the true color , so some pics i take of them ,they look inky , sometimes gray, and sometimes hint of green. I suppose it depends on the lighting in the tank and the room . I do have a few pics that actually picked up the true color of all blue when babes. Guess the lighting was perfect that moment..ha ...but honestly they are blue.

As for hybred phantoms, i have heard it is possible ,but never read documentation, however since they are so close ,i would never keep an L128 and L200 in the same tank. that's just my take on things.

you should be able to tell when the tank lights are on if it is green or blue or mix. To my opinion a true phantom would be one or the other color. I have seen a photo of a phantom ,a real beauty, but the coloring was almost a shade of aqua, but cant be sure of that lighting either.

either way, you have a beauty there !

just got my torch out and checked blues and green out and the green dont have spots all the way down to its tail and doesnt have any spots on its tail... whereas the blues have spots all the way down to its tail and has spots on its tail also...

hope that helps you make a decision...
