hi, not been on for a while, i have always used treated tap water, and never had a problem, but have been seeing that there are alot of people using a part and part tap and bottled water, ie supermarket etc, has or does anyone use this method and if so what are ratios and results, i have approx 8 plecs, L46, L15, L200, L36, etc, all are fine, feeding well etc, so aint going to change what im doing, was just interested in the fact, thanks if you can help, regards bri

Do Not Use Bottled water this is rich in minerals and has a high Kh.

I use R/O and HMA mix
I have never had a problem from the 1st day i used this type of water.
My fish have no problems and spawn with very few deaths if any.
Regards bob

home made aqua

I use 50% tap water and 50% rain water, which sits in a 4ft tank with some almond leaves in it before usage.

cheers jk

I use town water, conditioned with Seachem Prime, town water is pH 7.4 but after my water changes, it falls to 6.5> 6.8 :D, I'm not changing it either..It's working for me fine...

I hear of ppl in Melb using R/O what BUT I think to myself why? When the fact is: TDS is 60-80 (thats pretty darn low already), KH=1-2, GH=2-3, PH=7
