Please explain RO water

Right so I've found someone that delivers ro in my area but before I buy any I think I need to understand it a bit more. They sell remineralised, plain ro and salted ro. If I bought the plain what would I need to add to it? If I got the remineralised would I need to do anything to that? Do I just do water changes with the ro water? Or do I add tapwater? Sorry for all the questions but I'm totally new to RO and I don't want to be messing around with something I don't understand.

Here is my understanding (brought about by the members of this forum, gawd I hope I understood it right)..

Plain RO is not capable of sustaining life.
You would either need to 'cut' it with tapwater or remineralise it for use.

If adding tapwater, you wouldn't necessarily need to mix it prior to water change (but I do).
With remineralising, the necessary minerals are added to your ro water container and it's ready for use.

Thank you. So I can have the whole tank with just RO as long as its remineralised? I change 2-3 buckets every 3-4days would it be to much to use all ro?
