Thought I'd throw up a few photos of my tank, possibly someone would have some ideas on how I could "spruce" it up a bit more? Was thinking possibly a couple live plants..

Loves to hide but best photo I could get without chasing him out of his hiding place.

some plants is a good idea, if your lighting is good enough for it. The first thing that jumpeod out at me was that there was no backing colour- would add depth. How about some wood of different size's?
hope it go's well- look forward to seeing the end product.

A black background would transform the tank, hide most of the hardware, or at least make it less obtrusive.

For easy and plec friendly plants try Anubias and/or Java Fern.

Perhaps some more wood, something like Redmoor or Manzanita?

Yea the lighting is excellent, and wrote down the names of those two plants, see if I can find those. And yea I'll agree could use a background, and a little more driftwood, I try to stay away from stones/rocks if I can, always have a fear one is going to slip out of my hand when cleaning or fall against the side, anyways will post photos after I make some changes. Thanks for the advice.

I would try some wood that looks more like a branch, so that you can stand it up or lean on the side rather than any more 'bottom' wood. Like xingu says redmoor is a good option and is branchlike.

The plant on the left doesn't look aquatic to me, I would keep an eye on it in case it dies and pollutes the water. I think the plant on the right maybe an amazon sword sp.

At closer inspection I think they both are lol.
They both are, they were just some pieces I had laying around, so decided to use them. Will check out some LFS's for Redmoor this weekend. Any thoughts on adding grape wood? I think I have some of that laying around when I had my L204s way back when.

right, good question, how would one know if it had been used in a vineyard prior and been treated to protect the fruit ? Suppose a reputable fish only store would sell safe, untreated grapevine ? All knotty and twisted, looks very cool though. Would be interested what others think also .
