Another Hypancistrus to ID

I picked up this one lone male from the most recent Castleford Aquarist Society auction. Pity there weren't any more.

He's about 3" SL or 4.5" with tail. The previous owner says he has been this size for a few years, so probably a smaller species. The only other spotted ones I can match are L174 and 339/400. Any suggestions?

p.s. my money's on a spotty 'L066', but I'm not putting him near my group.

Thanks for your ID's. L400 seems a distinct possibility - a very variable species it seems.
