After not getting the L66 female I bought on ebay yesterday I've been shopping, can someone tell me if this is a female or have I landed myself with another male.

erm, looks to have a very thick leading ray on its pectorals.................i'd say it was a male.
hope i'm wrong

sorry, hairy pec fins do suggets male, I know females can get a bit hairy so its not certain. but also not as rounded in the body as females often are.
maybe needs a good feed up?
pics of belly might help.

It does need a bit of a feed but it's not what I'd call skinny. I'll let it settle and feed it up but it looks like I may have a king tiger for sale soon :wb:

Hi

The main problem when getting wild caught fish is that they tend to be prodoinatly males.

I have been told this si due to the way they are collected .I believe that males will cave more than females in the wild thus giving the collectors a "Captive" fish.

I'll be doing that when there's a bit more meat on it's bones. I don't want to disturb them again just yet.
