Hi all. Well we finally drained and cleaned my 44 gallon corner tank.
My lfs said to use salt water it worked out just fine except for 1 slight problem....the silicone turned pink:yuck: Im not sure if it was from food or the pink gravel (that color won't b used again)

Anyway the tanks about 15 years old, i don't really want to use bleach with my luck it will break down the silicone. A friend suggested to get rid of the old n put new silicone in or maybe if I am lucky it will fade in time.

Any suggestions would b very appreciated:yes:and Thank you!!!

*I tried to put up a pic but I was having problems.

Bleaching will not harm the silicone. I bleach all my tanks between spawning set ups to destroy any parasites or harmful bacteria. Just make sure it is well rinsed several times afterward to remove all traces of the bleach.
