This is for all my friends who love Snakeheads but live in an area where they are banned or are too expensive. These bad boys cost only $3 usd/pound:whistle:

I guess they are food fish?

It is amazing what people eat and we would pay a lot for.

I lived in SEA and they would eat Claris cat fish live.

Yup, Plecs in SA along with peacock bass and numerous other "ornamental" fish that we pay loads of money for.....they must laugh their heads off at white man.....then again it is an income for them.

This is why the "Fancy fish/Pleco "trade is now so big.

The Don Jug would get $1 for 100 fish sold as food fish now he gets $100 for 100 "fancy fish"

Better that him clearing 100 Sq miles of jungle for growing palm oil to make Flora for fat **** westerners I guess?

We also have red bellied pacu and yellow carp. as well as several very colorful tilapia species as well. I've seen clarias cats too. Giant gouramis have also been known to show their ugly faces from time to time. A guy could stock a pond for about 50 dollars!

I often look at the free to a good home pacus on AC and think??????? I wonder if a fish monger would fillet that for me? Bet they taste great.

I read an artical by Ingo wher XXL GN's are a staple diet for fisherman as they are very easy to catch and plenty available in the shallows. Apparantly quite meaty but cant imagine where the meat is on a pleco???
