Spotted pleco

Hi. I gave my daughter a spotted pleco some five years ago, when I set up her tank. It has grown to a body length of 80cms (7inches) and has developed a further twin fillament extension on its tail of some 50cms (6inches). Trouble is I cannot recall which one it is. Never seen another as spotted. Its habitat does not make it easy to photograph. Any ideas? David, Potters Bar, Herts, England

Do you mind saying the sizes again? There is a huge difference between 80cm and 7inches and also between 50cms and 6inches.
