Well to be honest I havent seen that many in the flesh but when you start looking at all the pics of the lastest blue eyes, the smaller BES look a little different to the bigger guys. Probably just an age and size thing but the eye colour on the smaller sp is darker as well. Been surfing round trying to find pics to prove my point but struggling abit lol.
The best comparision I can think of is this shot………but I think there your two? Im just going blue eye mad I think:wb:
I think I know what you mean but take it from me, even if you have seen more (as in my case) in the flesh, it gets more confusing...there are now some pcs that I cant immediately call out if BES or BEC....it is true that in the same shipment, with BES of the same body structure, profile, etc, the smaller ones have bluer eyes than the bigger ones. In the calender, my 15" TL BEC blue eye did not fade with age/size. His smaller companion is a BES.
I get confused when the shape, etc is that of BEC but there are spikes along the flank which I associate with BES....so glad I dont do this for a living:whistle:
Another observation is that after multiple shipments of BES, it suddenly dried up....followed by shipments after shipments of BECs of big and small sizes! I have stopped at 2 BEC and 1 BES (I think) but could have easily stocked up dozens....shipments are now on order, somebody hit the mother lode :dk:
