But looks like they are not purchased at a 1nch in size, this is the male I also have a female of a similar size
Just trying to find out what they are :dk:

So what do we think?
Wondering if they are `Rio Ucayali` or even L392

i used to have some very very similar that were id'd as Rio Ucayali

how big are they? size might help.

I think the Rio have rich brown markings on pec fins (and a smaller plec), and sometimes on other fin edges which I can see on these pics.
I think these look like L182 that are a bit stressed, so not as black as they can get when sitting in a dark space, but they do go this paler shade when on pale substrate or stessed.

Looks like Rio to me too... This is my adult female, I don't have any pics of my male at the moment.
