Plastic cave

Hi all,just done a water change and I noticed that my L333
(perry) has been eating the plastic cave that looks like wood thing.
There,s small bits of brown colour missing, looks like White patches
where he,s been havin a go at it.I was goin to remove it when I replant
the tank but I've taken it out now just in case.could this harm him?(eatin the plastic)

it could, i suppose it depends on what its made of as to whether its toxic, but even if its not, small bits of plastic wont do his gut any good, take it out and get him a nice slate/clay/pvc cave

Cheers for the quick reply scatz, I've just made him a cave from the bogwood that was already in the tank.just need some slate to close it up a bit.
