hi guys im just wondering how many water changes you can do per day i have really bad cloudy water due to puttin some stress zyme in i changed 2 buckets this morning and still no change and i was going 2 do another two 2nite or is that 2 much

cutting a long story short ive moved house and re-set my tank back up i brought half the water out the tank with me and put half fresh in, i did a water test and my ammonia was high so i was thinking and also been told my tank is going through another cycle, some 1 said add stress zyme to add a bit more bacteria to the tank to help it but its made the water really cloudy i took 3 bucket out this morning and its still no better
did you use all new/ cleaned media in the filter?
the cloudiness will just be because it is cycling again, stress zyme won't really help all that much, but on the other hand, it wont make the water cloudy.
as it matures, it will clear on its own, changing too much water now will be delaying the cycle, cut back to a small change every couple of days, if you can get hold of some, use seachems prime to dechlorinate, as this will also detoxify the ammonia, it will still show up on your tests as ammonia, but it leaves a less toxic form behind

i drained the tank 1 hour before i moved it and it was set back up when i got it in my new house so it wasnt off for long, i cleaned the filters 2days before i moved so didnt have to do them when i got in but ive got some prime so do i keep putting a capfull in every day, and il cut my water changes doen to every other day and before i forget i have a air pump in but will a venturi kit on my filter also help i no it wont make much difference but its a bit extra oxygen in the tank
it could be, had this problem before when i added a a extra filter that was brand new wot makes me thinks it a new cycle is that the ammonia a bit high as well
i think thats exactly what it is, it will clear soon, especially seeing as the media is mature, the readings should level out very soon, just keep an eye on the ammonia readings
if there was a small filter crash or "mini cycle" then yes, ammonia would appear, the bacteria bloom could be because the filter is creating so much new bacteria (so to speak) to catch up with the cycle.
you can often get a bacterial bloom when putting in a new secondary filter as its effectively cycling a new filter despite it being in an established tank
