Hi all,
They are gorgeous, "ellioti" may not be there true name any more, they probably should be Thorichthys maculipinnis http://www.cichlidae.com/article.php?id=143.

cheers Darrel
Spot On Darrel, they are indeed now listed as T. maculipinnis.

Congrats mate, these little guys are real stunners and when happy they are quite the characters!

It must be mention here though, that these are a very aggressive species [especially amoung the same species] I started with 4 fish and ended up with a bonded pair that I have bred a large number from.

If you want them to be happy and healthy just treat them to the same water parameters and decor and give them a varied diet of fresh and prepared foods such as a good quality pellet food and Brine Shrimps etc.

CHEERS

p.s. If I can figure out where to put it, I have an article/profile that you may want to read.
