2fts should be fine, its rated to 150kg per shelf.
i did look at similar for my room, but didn't want to risk them with 4 foot tanks

whether you'll get 4 on will depend on the height of the tanks, assumimg you put one on the top and 3 underneath you wont have much room above each tank as those shelves are quite deep. It will definitely take the weight though

Interesting, I have 2 sets of these in my shed that I was thinking of using for fish tanks. They wouldnt fit a 3ft tank (only just) so will have to be 2 footers, or if I could find some 2 1/2 footers, would be even better.
Pete.

I use this stuff at work I found it was clap, I chucked the lot, It is weak pressed thin steel that is stamped out with ruddy sharp edges.
bends under any stress and was not fir for the job.

It would be better if you cut it in half and kept the tanks lower to the ground. Also seal the MDF as it doesn't like water. Should be fine for 2 foot tanks. I would attach it to a wall if you intend on on putting 4 tanks on it.

There are cheaper quality units out there, the one I have are a reasonable quality and thickness, the ones you probably are refering to are the cheaper copies of the better ones. I would definately trust mine with 2ft tanks.

The ones I was lumbered with were from Argos.

what ever you decide for i saw 3 different racks calculate the weigth each of your tanks weight with water and anything else you chose to add and then see if less than 150kgs go for it ?
bream gave you the best advice i believe bolt it to the wall if you decide to place all four on this rack
or cut it in half!

I did get one of these and currently there is a 32" and 24" on it on the bottom and middle rows and its steady as a rock  Am going to put another tank on the top but will only be using 3 shelves or I will need a step ladder to reach another one :wb:

I decided on this one as it fitted the space perfectly that I had, my next one will be from Rapid Racking and a bit bigger :D
