This male albino bristlenose male doesn't look right he is over 10cm long maybe up to 12cm. So he is an adult and breeding size but not sure whats wrong. He has been looking a bit pale and his stomach looks a bit large plus near hi anus there is a bulge from his stomach its like a hernia.

Any ideas of what the problem is and how i can fix it?

not sure, but I would guess some kind of bloat or infection. If no one has a better idea I would try an epsom salt bath for 20 mins in a bucket then put him in QT if you have one. then feed him a diet of cooked peas with skin off.
is he pooing ok?

i have just finished using avitrol to worm the colony so i have making medicine food so that can be ingested. I have seen him pooing although there is pale poo its not white in color its like a pale see through grey

Only just seen this thread (and your other one).

May I ask how you treated them with the avitrol and why are you also medicating the food? Avitrol's main ingredient is Levamisole which is absorbed through the body making it the most effective way of treating for worm infestation. If your fish has worms then more than likely they will not eat, which makes medicating food pointless.

What are you feeding your BN's? There seems to be a lot of talk about bloat and treatments but you also have to deal with a cause.

Now, this will seem really odd, but is it as though he has a bubble of skin coming out of his "bum"? It's hard to tell from that pic, it is easier to see from a side on view.
